Pipeline detection is one of our most ambitious developments. We understand how difficult it is to detect buried infrastructures such as pipelines, and we want to provide a simple and efficient solution through radar technology.
In this case, we use SAR technology to obtain an underground cartography of the pipelines present at the site.
We employ UAS-based radar technology to detect buried objects –pipelines in this case. Microwaves are emitted and then reflected by surfaces and underground layers. Once captured, this data is utilized to reconstruct a radar image through SAR and other techniques.
To detect pipelines, the system must perform at a depth of 50-100 cm. Under this circumstances, lower frequencies are required, and those, in turn, imply a poorer accuracy. Of course, our goal is to provide both operational depth and accuracy.
