The Safedrone project is based on a new high-resolution architecture of GPR (ground penetrating radar) embarked on an unmanned aerial system (UAS) that is capable of obtaining finely detailed images of the subsoil and any object embedded in it. The project’s purpose is to take advantage of UAS capabilities (access to remote areas, speed and stability) and pair them with the properties of high-resolution radar systems for non-destructive inspection and detection of buried objects.
